Kim McLennan finds inspiration in all that surrounds her, the ocean, beaches, lakes, and forest. She particularly loves depicting creatures large and small in her work on both glass and canvas.
Fading Footprints seeks to create a connection between the viewer and subject, inviting contemplation on their unique spirits and the delicate balance of our shared world, one where we
are all dependent on a sustainable ecosystem for survival. In a World facing increasing environmental challenges, her art serves as a call to action. She aims to raise awareness about the
threats facing endangered species and inspire empathy and action towards conservation efforts.
In her paintings, she utilizes various mediums including collage, coloured pencils, inks, oil sticks, acrylic and oil paint.
Her glass work, in most cases, is made with recycled glass and may include enamels, copper, brass, gold or silver foils.
Come join us on May 1st at 6:30 pm to meet this incredible artist and view her stunningly beautiful artwork and important message for us all.
