Kane & Potvin (from The Grapes of Wrath and The Northern Pikes) @ The Astor Theatre Liverpool
Mar 23 @ 7:30 pm

KEVIN KANE (Grapes of Wrath) & BRYAN POTVIN (Northern Pikes) – Duo Show

If you are a fan of Canadian music from the 80s and 90s, chances are you’re familiar with The Grapes of Wrath and The Northern Pikes. These recording artists have accrued 1 Juno Award, 5 Juno Award Nominations and several gold and platinum album awards, respectively.

The show features Northern Pikes and Grapes of Wrath hits She Ain’t Pretty, Hopes Go Astray, Dream Away, Kiss Me You Fool, All The Things I Wasn’t, Backward Town, Peace Of Mind, O Lucky Man, along with songs from the acclaimed “Kane & Potvin” album release.

After a chance meeting between Kevin Kane (Grapes) and Bryan Potvin (Pikes) at a Toronto guitar store, the two decided to get together to play some music and hang out. Feeling charged by their new-found musical chemistry, a duo was formed and they began performing across Canada as Kane & Potvin. This union spawned writing and recording sessions that created new original material, and an album release. They their self-titled debut album in 2016 (“Kane and Potvin”) received widespread recognition.

In 2017, Bryan and the members of The Northern Pikes asked Kevin to join them on the road as second guitarist for their “Big Blue Sky” anniversary tour. Soon after the tour, Kane became a permanent Pike and the band headed into the studio to record their “Forest of Love” album (2019). The Pikes’ latest album, “Time To Time”, is being released this year (2023).
