Raymond Chow is an internationally renowned artist from Vancouver, Canada. He won his early recognition in his teenage years when many art dealers would come knocking on his parent’s door with cash in hand, eager to buy a Raymond Chow drawing. He has a lengthy art career of over 50 years where his artwork has gone from art galleries across Canada to as far as the Royal Palace of India in Rajasthan. He enjoyed his time traveling around British Columbia and supporting the Arts in Vancouver and currently resides in Pleasantville, Nova Scotia.
In this solo show, we will be displaying some of Raymond’s many paintings as well as line drawings of the local area.
We are proud to present this unique collection of Raymond’s pieces in our gallery for the three weeks in June. We are open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm.

Needle felting is a fun way to turn wool into 3D objects by poking it with a needle. Join Amber Connolly-Purdy on May 10th (6-8pm) for this two hour beginners workshop, and feel your stress drain away as you create a cute little sheep!

The workshop is open to anyone who is 12 or older, but places are limited so don’t delay.

Alex Wentzell Presents – Sandy Now, an album release.
Alex won the “Battle Of The Bands” open mic contest at FirkinStein Brewing in 2022. The winning prize was a day at Comstock Recording Studios where he used this opportunity to record his album “Premium Roast” for his new music project, Sandy Now.
Sandy Now is an alternative to folk, blues, and jazz. Played with a technical percussive style on acoustic guitar, the album “Premium Roast” is a 4 song EP that was recorded live with the help of Jordi Comstock on drums and Mike Farington on bass.
Alex invites us to celebrate the release of “Premium Roast” by Sandy Now and experience the live production from the studio, to the stage.

Capella Regalis @ The Astor Theatre Liverpool

Musique Royale announces a province-wide concert tour featuring Capella Regalis Choirs, directed by Nick and Vanessa Halley, with piano and organ accompaniment by Paul Halley, across Nova Scotia in June 2023, with 4 performances held in historic venues in Annapolis Royal, Liverpool, Mahone Bay, and Halifax. This will be the first Capella Regalis tour to include the newly-formed Girls Choir alongside the Men & Boys Choir.

Expect a feast for the ears showcasing the choir’s range of voices, from solos and duets to full ensemble singing. The program includes selections from the choirs’ Evensong repertoire this season, songs from various folk traditions, and of course fabulous Paul Halley arrangements for choir, organ, piano, and percussion. Founded in 2010, Capella Regalis is a Canadian charity dedicated to training singers within a centuries-old tradition, and performing choral music of the highest excellence.
