*Art show* Velta Vikmanis: CHAOS to CALM

For the month of May, we are displaying a collection of works created by Velta Vikmanis.

A message from Velta about her show:

“I’m a lifelong artist working in a variety of mediums, materials and styles. I became a Liverpudlian in November 2021 after living in Toronto. I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at OCAD University with a focus on sculpture and installation. This show, CHAOS to CALM, is a retrospective of the past 20 years. An opportunity to share some of my previous works, as well as new pieces that are inspired by my new surroundings. My art comes from the patterns I see around me, repetition as a practice, fascination with the passage of time and the repurposing of materials. In this show you will find photography, painting, sculpture and a large scale mixed media installation.
